To-Do and Ta-Da Lists

As someone who loves action, I have always been a fan of a to-do list.

I am especially keen on digital to-do lists like “Todoist” - an awesome app that helps you track and plan your to-do’s.

Having a plan and a list of things to do is the best way to achieve anything - bit by bit eating the enormous elephant of a goal or job slice by slice.

"To-Do's" make my world go around but I am also a huge fan of "Ta-Da's"

A "Ta-Da" list is a list of exciting things that you want to achieve. The key word here is want. Most to-do’s are need to's or have to's."Ta-da's are things you want to do. It's about changing things up. Maybe you want to paint your bedroom a new colour, cut off your hair, get a tattoo, shift houses, get a new pet or change your car.

What would you love to change, to redecorate, to improve or create? All of us have the ability to create and change but so many people forget that they can. I love the question - "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?" It's an awesome question to open your mind and remove any obstacles that you think exist.

Gretchin Rubin, author of "Happier" uses a 'Ta-da List' as a way to document achievements. Keeping a list of things in real-time as you achieve them can be a game changer. It's energising and helps you make your progress visible. Whether you create a "Ta Da" list of things that you want to change or things you have already created - both are very motivating and energising.
